How is ETA Prediction calculated ?
Shipsgo’s ETA Prediction uses AI and machine learning to estimate the most accurate arrival time for your shipment.
The system analyzes multiple data points, including:
- Real-time vessel position and route progress
- Historical transit times between ports
- Past carrier and vessel performance
- Global container tracking data
By combining these factors, the system predicts a more realistic ETA instead of relying only on carrier schedules. The ETA Prediction is automatically updated whenever new tracking data becomes available.
To view the ETA Prediction, go to “My Shipments” and click the 👁️ eye icon next to your shipment.
⚠️ETA Prediction is calculated only for shipments with Booked, Loaded, or Sailing statuses.
💡 ETA Prediction may differ from the carrier’s schedule because it is calculated using our real operational data and historical voyage data, helping you anticipate possible delays or early arrivals more accurately.
