Common Terms


Term Description
Reference Your internal label used to identify and manage a shipment in Shipsgo. It appears as the subject of notification emails.
Milestone A shipment event published by the carrier (e.g., Departed, Arrived, Discharged, Landed, En-Route).
In Progress Tracking has started, but carrier data is not yet available.
Untracked Tracking has stopped due to lack of updates for a certain period.
Follower An email recipient who receives automatic shipment notifications.
Tags Labels used to categorize and filter shipments in your dashboard. Tags help organize shipments by client, route, priority, or custom criteria.
API Application Programming Interface that allows you to integrate Shipsgo tracking into your own system and automate shipment management.
Webhook A real-time notification method that automatically sends shipment updates to your system when new events occur.
Embed An iframe-based tracking page that can be integrated into your website or customer portal to display shipment details.
SubAccounts Additional user accounts under your main company account, allowing team members to access and manage shipments with controlled permissions.
